Coming to us from the Chicago, IL, area, Dr. Ziegler obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology form Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Her graduate studies were completed at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. Furthering her education at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO, she obtained a degree in Osteopathic Medicine. Internships were served at University of Connecticut Health Center and the Yale-New Haven School of Medicine in Connecticut. She remained there to complete her Residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center and served as the Chief Medical Resident at the Hartford Hospital/University of Connecticut. She returned to Chicago for her Fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology at Northwestern University Medical Center.

Dr. Ziegler is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology.

Dr. Ziegler, her husband Mark and their son are living in Mark's hometown of Evansville, Indiana.
