A native of Louisville, KY, Dr. Kim obtained his undergraduate degree in Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He obtained his Doctorate in Medical Sciences degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. He served his Internship, Residency and Teaching Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Kim served as an Assistant Professor at the Yale School of Medicine while employed as an Attending Physician at the Yale-New Haven Hospital prior to joining Oncology Hematology Associates in 2003.

Dr. Kim is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Kim and his wife Doris have three daughters.
