A native of Evansville, Indiana, Dr. Browning obtained his undergraduate degree in Medical Science from Loyola University, in New Orleans, LA. He then obtained his Doctorate of Medical Science from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. While serving in the Navy, Dr. Browning obtained his Internship, Residency, and Fellowship at the Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD. He has had a number of academic appointments while serving with the Navy in Bethesda, MD, Oakland, CA, San Francisco, CA, and San Diego, CA. He currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine for the Indiana University School of Medicine at the Evansville, Indiana campus.

Dr. Browning and his wife Jennifer are the parents of two sons. In addition to being very dedicated to his patients and their families, Dr. Browning assists with an ambitious endeavor to develop a broad-based detailed genealogy database which is internet based through the Evansville Public Library System.
